Sønderjysk Elitesport A/S

Sønderjysk Elitesport A/S, normally referred to as SønderjyskE, organises and promotes elite sports in Southern Jutland.

Sønderjysk Elitesport A/S was formed on 1st January 2004 as a professional umbrella organisation for football, ice hockey and handball. It consists of three teams:

  • Ice hockey, with a home ground at the SE Arena in Vojens
  • Men’s handball, with a home ground at Broager Sparekasse Skansen in Sønderborg
  • Women’s handball, with a home ground at the Aabenraa Sports Centre

In 2020 the Sønderjyske Football division was sold to an American investor, but stayed with the same setup, values and shirt-color as before. Thus the football division is still seen as part of the Sønderjyske sports organisation.

A Strong Vision

Sønderjysk Elitesports vision is to put Southern Jutland on the Danish and international map, to ensure that the top teams play in the five top leagues and to provide the best conditions for talented players.

It is through this business-driven organisation that Sønderjysk Elitesport creates the financial and organisational foundation which leads to the desired sports results.

Sønderjysk Elitesport focuses on creating synergy between sport and business throughout Southern Jutland. This is to ensure that professional sport and business life form a strong partnership. It underpins the creation of a common profile for Southern Jutland to make the region known and respected at an elite level in all areas – in business, education and culture, as well as in sport.

Values

Sønderjysk Elitesport bases its work on the following values: Humility, Hard Work, Team Spirit and Accountability

Its underlying aim is to support the vision of making Southern Jutland an area that continues to attract a qualified workforce. An area that can attract and retain a workforce bridges the gap between top sport and business, as well as ensuring continued dynamic and international growth for companies, employees and sport.
