There were many questions about the hotel and the spa

Since the ground-breaking ceremony in November 2015, a lot has happened at the Alsik construction site. Looking from the outside the region’s largest hotel – and Denmark’s largest spa & wellness centre – now looks almost finished. On the inside, however, Alsik is still very much a building site. For the third time people were invited to come and see Alsik for them selves at an open house event. This time the doors were opened on a Sunday to give as many as possible chance to come along. And a lot of people did. The weather turned out to be beautiful and 3,400 local citizens turned up.

It was the last time before the opening of the hotel that the public had the opportunity to visit the building. Soon the interior designers begin their work in Alsik and they will be very busy up until the opening of the hotel in the spring of 2019.

At the open house event all visitors were able to follow a marked route at their own pace. The route started at the entrance to the spa and ended in the hotel lobby. It led the visitors around the ground level as well as on the first floor in both the spa and the hotel.

In the hotel lobby there were competitions to win, with prizes of a stay in the Alsik hotel, a visit to the Alsik restaurants and treatments at the spa. The winners of the competitions have been announced on the hotel website alsik.com.

General Manager of Alsik says

We are proud of being a part of Southern Jutland and are very much looking forward to highlighting this area’s unique culture and history. We believe that the best ambassadors for the region and for Alsik are from within the local area. Therefore, we are pleased that so many people stopped by our job booth and made inquiries about the many job possibilities in Alsik. Irmela Heinsius, General Manager of Alsik

There was also a job booth offering information regarding the available positions when Alsik opens in the spring of 2019. At least 110 employees are needed for the hotel, the restaurants, the conference facilities together with the spa area.

Due to its size, its many facilities and its high quality throughout, Alsik will considerable boost tourism and conference opportunities within Southern Jutland, and this requires a team of talented people. Local people are very welcomed to join the team.
