Sønderborg Boligudvikling P/S (residential development) is now a reality. The partnership has held its first board meeting and is formally constituted with Jacob Møller as Chairman and Mayor Erik Lauritzen as Vice-Chairman. It is founded to facilitate and promote the development of new, attractive housing to support the continued growth throughout the Sønderborg Municipality.
Purpose
The new partnership will focus on creating a strong foundation for future housing development. The partnership will not construct housing itself but work towards facilitating new development, particularly by providing relevant analyses, promoting the maturation of new building opportunities, and investing in attracting private investors and developers who can get the necessary new homes built.
By joining forces in a dedicated partnership, the ambition is to make the Sønderborg area even more attractive to current and future residents. The partnership will work to implement an ambitious master plan that, over the coming years, aims to create and support the foundation for many new homes in the area, with a focus on high quality, a variety of housing types, and sustainable solutions.
The Board of Directors for Sønderborg Boligudvikling P/S consists of:

- Tage Petersen, Member of the City Council, Sønderborg Municipality
Contribution to long-term development
The newly appointed Chairman, Jacob Møller, is an attorney and partner at Kromann Reumert and an expert in advising private and public clients, such as municipalities and private developers, on matters of leasing, purchase and sale, and project development of real estate. Jacob Møller has extensive experience with urban development projects and public-private partnerships and will strengthen the new company with his insights.

The board will now start working on promoting housing development leading up to 2030 and a communication strategy to attract interest from investors.
